Ad-Writers Block
Artists often say that the hardest brush stroke is the first on a blank canvas, and so it can be with ad writing. Staring at the blank fields and wondering how to start can be off putting for the best of us. Thankfully you are not alone and there are services to help. One solution is the Facebook "suggest an ad" button.
To use the "Suggest an ad" feature you simply enter a url and click the button. The service will then show a suggested advert for that page. Here are some example ads from a selection of retail product pages.
As you can see, the service works better for some sites than others. Turns out it is as hard for computers to write ads as it is for humans! This feature helps you get started but your ad may require some work before a user would click it. It's a great way to get a brush stroke on the blank canvas but its not quite ready to hang on the museum wall.
Suggesting Adverti.se Ads
Another way to get help with your ad writing is to Adverti.se. We've been working on the "suggest an ad" problem for a long time and have a better solution for online retailers. Using the same example products as above here are the ads our algorithm writes:
As well as producing more than one ad per product, we also look to highlight the different features and benefits of your products in line with ad writing best practices. And because you don't have to enter each product url individually you will find working with Adverti.se much quicker than "Suggest an ad".
If you are a retailer who has not yet started rewriting AdWords ads into the facebook format, Adverti.se could help you migrate quickly and easily.
